This website is owned by Flexographic Industry Association UK Limited (FIAuk) ("we" or "us") and our registered office address is Haines Watts, Bridge House, Ashley Road, Hale, Altrincham, Cheshire, WA14 2UT.  We are a data controller for the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where we control the purposes for which we process your personal data.

At FIAuk we are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy.

The purpose of this privacy statement is to inform you about the type of personal information that we gather about you when you:-

-          Become an FIAuk member .

-          Register on our FIAuk Academy Learning platform.

-          FIAuk Academy module progress and examination results.

How we use your data

- To contact you electronically about events and services which wethink may interest you including updates regarding the Flexo Industry, FIAuk events and the FIAuk Learning platform.

Website Users

We have an enquiry form and e-mail links on our website to allow you to contact us directly. We use the information provided in your e-mail to respond to your questions or comments. We may also store your comments for future reference. Your personal information is never shared with third parties.

We automatically track information based upon your behaviour on our website using cookies and other devices. Cookies are small files placed on your hard drive that collects information (usually anonymous information).We do collect IP addresses which are classed as personal information, however we do not use this information to identify individuals. We also gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

We will only process your personal data where we have a legal basis for doing so. Our legal basis for processing your personal data will either be consent based, based on legitimate business interest or because we are legally required to process it.

 

If we are relying on the legitimate business interest basis for lawful processing be assured that we only do this where we have considered carefully the risks to your rights and freedoms (as we are required to do by the GDPR) and we will not process personal data on this basis if we have any doubt that your rights might be adversely affected. Security/Back up

We have taken various steps to put in place security measures to protect our website from loss, misuse and alteration of information.

Where we store data, measures have been taken to protect that data from access by unauthorised persons. We have back up procedures in place in the event of computer failure and security attacks. Our security measures include encryption.

Retention Periods

We store your personal data on secure servers for a period of:

·         The duration of your membership and then 5 years from the date on which you cease to be a member or from when we last contacted you if you are not a member;

·         5 years from the date on which you cease using our FIAuk Academy Learning platform; or

·         until you ask us to destroy it

Unless the law requires us to store data for a longer period.

We retain personal data for 5 years in order to comply with our audit requirements and because of our own experience of unsubscribing members wanting to subsequently re-join.

Your Rights

If you have registered to receive e-mail communications from us and later change your mind, you may contact us to have your name removed from our database or distribution lists.

The GDPR provides the following rights for individuals whose personal data is processed by us:

·         the right of access;

·         the right to rectification;

·         the right to erasure;

·         the right to restrict processing;

·         the right to data portability;

·         the right to object to processing;

·         rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling.
